I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School in 2009. I moved to Washington, D.C. in August 2009 and I am a recent graduate of American University with a wide range of experience in the communication industry. My background includes journalism, digital strategy, social media, and traditional public relations. I have extensive experience using tools such as Cision, WordPress and Hootsuite. I am a motivated, bilingual, social self-starter entering the workforce with eyes wide open – looking to learn from seasoned and passionate experts. My global perspective paired with my diverse skill set make me a prepared young communications professional. I am Turkish-American, and I love spending time in Istanbul and with family and friends. I enjoy writing, traveling, musical theater and of course, communications. Public relations is my passion, and I have a knack for social media. I will be spending summer 2013 at Burson-Marsteller in New York City.
